How do I renew my Brazilian passport while living in London?
Surprise: passports for over-18s are applied for by post through the Consulate in EDINBURGH, not London. Check the requirements on the official site before sending your documents.
How do I get or regularise my CPF from abroad?
By email directly with the Receita Federal ([email protected]) — it's free. No need to pay intermediaries.
How do I transfer my voter registration to London?
100% online through the TSE's Título Net (the consulate doesn't handle electoral matters). IMPORTANT in 2026: between 7 May and 3 November (election year) you canNOT register or transfer — sort it before.
How do I do the INSS proof of life from abroad?
Through the Meu INSS app with facial biometrics, or with a consular life certificate (£4.50, valid 90 days). It's compulsory every year — without it the benefit is suspended.
Can I drive in the UK with my Brazilian CNH?
Yes, for 12 months from arrival. After that there's NO direct exchange: you have to take the theory test and practical test (~£85 in fees overall).
